• Three-Sticks Architecture:

  • Installed an Ethernet network using CAT 5e UTP, Intel Pro 100 NICs and a Netgear 8-port Switch.

  • Rebuilt a Windows 2000 Workstation into a Windows 2000 Server, adding an additional 40GB hard drive to setup a Mirrored RAID set (RAID 1), partition drives into 1 System and 1 Data, setup DHCP and WINS.
  • Reloaded or Upgraded Drivers and Software, including Office 2000 Professional.
  • Configured an HP OfficeJet and HP Plotter for shared network connectivity using JetDirect cards.
  • Configured TCP/IP on all networked deivces.

            Hello and welcome to my site, I am Bryan Kreul.

A Brief History...

I was born in Waukegan, IL in June of 1970. Desperate for a tan in November of 1985, I moved to San Diego, CA. I was reprogramming Atari 2600 games at the age of 9, and my first computer was to be a Franklin ACE 2000 (with a 1.02 MHz processor and 64K of RAM).  Soon thereafter I discovered BBS'ing and the wonderful world of digital networking. I specialized in computers and electronics in school, attended DeVry Technical Institute, enlisted 4 years to our Air Force, and began my career in computers in 1994 building made-to-order PCs.  I ascertained a desire to learn all aspects of computers, ranging from networking to security to web development and graphic design to video and audio production, ultimately being comfortable at positions of IS, IT, Systems Administration and Network Administration.

But I still love to tinker with toys.
